Inspection Engineer Wanted at SMP Svensk Maskinprovning AB

SMP Svensk Maskinprovning AB (SMP) is now looking for an inspection engineer in Stockholm/Southern Mälardalen.

SMP inspects construction machinery, lifting devices, etc., and conducts field inspections of work environments and fire safety.

Your Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include inspecting construction machinery, lifting devices, IBC containers, etc., on-site at customer locations. You will also be responsible for contact with new and existing customers in your area and be the face of SMP.

SMP ensures that both new and old machines meet current safety requirements. Thanks to impartial testing, inspection, and certification of machines, they can assure customers that all their equipment meets the required standards.

Your initial time at SMP will involve an introduction/training. During the introduction, you will learn about the assignment and working methods. You will gain competence in various regulations and inspection programs and accompany a more experienced colleague on different assignments at customer sites.

The position allows you to work flexible hours. You will typically travel daily by car, primarily within your local area, but overnight trips may occur.

The work is performed at customer sites, and your placement/stationing means that you will work from your home. SMP offers a company car or a benefit car.

Your Profile

To be successful in the role of inspection engineer, it is important that you have broad technical knowledge, appreciate customer contacts, are independent, driven, meticulous, and friendly, while also being able to be firm when required. It is also beneficial if you enjoy being outdoors, even though part of the job is administrative and done from home.

Furthermore, we would like you to have:

• High school engineer, university engineer, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and hydraulics.
• Previous inspection experience.
• Good social skills.
• Independent and structured.
• Driver's license B.

Qualifications for inspecting construction machinery, lifting devices, IBC containers, etc., are highly meritorious.
